Musical Director Scott Angell came to the Music of the Night Choral Foundation in September 2017.  Scott has been heavily involved in music now for over 20 years.  He started his musical life as a chorister in both Cornwall and Devon.  He received his Devon area singing award back in the early 1990s.   He has sung in both Exeter and Truro cathedral and holds 3 fellowships and a licentiate in music.

Scott has received organ tuition from Fiona Chryssides, David Lodge and Jason Smart.  Since January 2019 he has been at Tavistock parish church as the Director of Music.  In this role he has already conducted the choir at Wells cathedral.  Scott is the previous President for the Plymouth and District Organists association. RSCM Devon committee member.

Scott has completed recital work as both an organist and singer, he has sung tenor solos in both the Handel Messiah and Haydn Creation for concerts.  He also has played numerous organ recitals in and around the Devon area.

He received choral conducting training by Marcus Alleyne who was also the previous MD for our choir.   Scott was the Assistant Director of Music and Chorus Master for the 120 strong Southwest Philharmonia and Chorus.

In his day role he works in a quality management role supporting training within NHS trusts across the UK.
